| This Pitts S1T arrived
in our facility in need of recovering, wing repair and general restoration. |
| After the fuselage was
stripped to the tubular structure, and repainted with epoxy primer
and paint, the instrument panel was refinished |
All sheet
metal faring and cowling pieces were stripped and refinished in
our paint shop. In this view, the fairings are fitted to the structure. |
| Here's a "Before"
and "After" view of our panel restoration. |
| After painting, the engine
cowling and propeller are fitted. New sheet metal landing gear fairings
fabricated in our shop will soon be installed, although not visible
in this photo, the lexan panels in the cockpit floor have been replaced. |
| After structural repairs
have been completed, the wings are recovered using the Polyfiber process. |
The wings
are now complete with the Art Scholl paint scheme stripping. In
this view, the wings are ready to be placed on the fuselage. Careful
rigging and adjustment will ensure a happy pilot. |
| Here's the
finished airplane ready for delivery to Paul Lopez a happy owner and
customer. Paul has flown the airplane about 20 hours since the rebuild.
He says, "It flies great, a lot better than when I originally bought
it. The pilot just need work." |
